Doyle Brunson’s Sex Lists
People love to make and read lists of the best. The lists range from the Time magazine’s popular list of the best books of the week to the list of the legendary wonders of the ancient world. Every now and then lists pop up of the sexiest people alive or not. But Grand Daddy of Poker, Doyle Brunson went one step ahead and asked his Twitter fan following to vote for the poker player they would most want to make love to, or in his words “make whoopee with”.
The lists that ensued as a result of this Twitter poll make interesting though not surprising reading. There were two separate polls. One was where the respondents were the male fans and in the other one the respondents were the female fans. The male response was predictable. Elizabeth Shannon secured top spot, followed by Vanessa Rousso and Jennifer Tilly. For a while Brunson kept on Tweeting the latest positions and finally called it a day. Liv Boeree was mentioned often but did not make it to the top three.
There was considerably less response from the female of the species. The top three winners were Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius and Phil Ivey, in that order. In the good looks polls it is usually Antonius who comes first. A response that deserves special mention came from “txcardslinger” who said, “I’m a girl and would sleep with Gavin Smith, Daniel, Joe Hashem, Laak…(not all of them at the same time though) and Tilly.” Brunson confirmed that Tilly made both lists for the sex. This led to a strong clarification from the poker babe’s publicist who said that Tilly has never been intimate with another woman. But so realistic was her role as a lesbian with Gina Gershon in the movie Bound, that Tilly is a hot favorite with the gals as well. Though Shannon’s straight role in American Pie is a hot favorite with the guys.
There were two other polls. The top poker players that people want to hang out with were Phil Laak, Gavin Smith and Daniel Negreanu. The top poker players that people wanted to kill were Phil Hellmuth, Russ Hamilton and Tony G. This would surely have made Hellmuth’s day.
