F1 Driver Knocked Out of PartyPoker Tournament

Things are not going too well for the Formula 1 driver Jaime Alguersuari this season. Before the Monte Carlo event he was in the 14th position with only 3 points to his name. Hence it was a good thing that the leading online poker room PartyPoker took him as their brand ambassador.

His debut bounty tournament at PartyPoker took place on Friday. In a starting field of 119 runners, Alguersuari finished in 53rd position in the $1,000 added tournament. PartyPoker was all praise for his performance. Their spokesman said, “Jaime is even newer to poker than he is to F1 but he made a very strong debut. He was certainly quick off the mark and not afraid to put his foot on the throttle. His playing style actually reminds us of Giancarlo Fisichella when he made his introduction to the poker world – all action and hyper aggression!” The next Jaime Alguersuari bounty tournament takes place on the 2nd of June 2010, with $1,000 added plus a $200 bounty.

PartyPoker has got a couple of exciting events lined up. The European Grand Prix will be held at Valencia between the 25th and the 27th of June. PartyPoker offers a Valencia Grand Prix promotion for Spanish customers only. There are two events in this promotion and both offer the chance to win packages to the Valencia Grand Prix and meet Alguersuari. There is another exciting promotion at PartyPoker. It is called WSOP for Life and offers entry to the WSOP Main Event for 20 years starting 2010 at present costs.
