Annette_15 Is Latest Full Tilt Pro

All the news about the Department of Justice preparing a dossier on Full Tilt Poker and planning to hit them hard once the UIGEA comes into effect is apparently not scaring anybody. Pokers pros are swarming to Full Tilt Poker like bees to a hive. The latest to join the online poker site is Annette Obrestad, who is known as Annette_15 in her online avatar. That is because she was playing poker since the age of 15.

Those who follow Annette’s Tweets, and I wouldn’t know how many do that, would have got a hint of the breaking news on April 30 when she messaged, “Big announcement tomorrow :) .” For a day she kept some ardent fans guessing. Then on May 1 she let out the big secret. “So, as I’m sure some of u have seen already, My name is Finally in red on ftp! Sooo excited to be part of my favorite online site :D .” You can judge her excitement at being a Full Tilt Pro by the widening of her smile in her Tweet. One thing about Twitter is that it does away with inhibitions and lets poker pros express their spontaneous feelings.
Full Tilt Poker is carrying an interview of Annette by Dave McCarthy in which she talks about things she has not talked about before. Though she won the inaugural WSPOE Main Event way back in 2007, Annette will be playing her first WSOP tournament in Las Vegas only this year. This is because of the higher age limit restrictions in Vegas. She said, “And I’ve been in Vegas every year watching my friends play, hearing about how bad the players are. It was terrible!” Now that she has been playing in Vegas for a few months she cites the Venetian and Bellagio as her favourites.
According to Annette ladies events in poker say “Women suck at poker”. But she acknowledges that is “true for the most part”. And she certainly does not have qualms about playing these events and beating the weaker of her sex. The questions inevitably veered towards other poker pros. Annette would love to play against Hellmuth because he is easy to beat, Negreanu because he is funny and Durrrr and Ivey because she wants to know what makes them tick. She ended the interview by saying, “Yeah, well, of course I talk about poker in my sleep. What else would I talk about?”
