Pitbull Poker Makes Suspicious ‘Midnight Move’

After a couple months of intense allegations from the online poker world regarding suspected cheating, PITBULL POKER is no longer operating.  As a matter of fact, it appears that during the wee hours of the night recently, computers and documents were being removed from their head office in Costa Rica without explanation.

PITBULL has come under attack recently when an online player going by the handle ‘chesterboy’ on the popular 2+2 Poker Forum made allegations that he suspected the site of using superuser accounts and cheating their client base.  He posted his concerns back on July 22 2009 stating his reasons for his suspicions which included the following

-Playing tons of hands out of position and outplay everybody.
-Donk bets with perfect accuracy. Meaning that they will lead for 20% of pot when I have air, every time I have air. When I have a real hand they will check/fold. If I make a play at the donk bet they will call, and donk bet again on the turn for a small amount again, usually the same as on the flop.
If I have a draw they will do this too, but if I hit the draw they will check/fold.
-They dodge my real hands with perfect accuracy. The same players that never give me any action when I have top pair seem to have no trouble calling me with ace high when I have nothing. I know that this is a normal play and something I do too, but the problem here is that they are never wrong.

He also claimed that someone he knew was able to actually see their opponents hole cards during play, indicating a serious breach in the transmission of data on the site.

In the beginning, Pitbull assured all players that it was not possible to see hole cards with their software and that all allegations were totally untrue, however, diligent players began requesting information from the site, including hand histories, in order to perform independent analysis.  Pitbull had originally agreed to supply this information, but after considerable time, nothing was made available to the independent investigators.  Stating how difficult such a task was, Pitbull once again tried to backstep the allegations, however persistent players wanted answers.  One investigator stated he began receiving hand histories, but for Omaha H/L games, and not No Limit games which were being requested.

David Brenes, a long time supporter of Pitbull and was titled as Network Manager for the site, had been supporting the site, however, once he got a 3am phone call the other night, stating that site partners Kevin Baronowski and Jordan (last name unknown at this time) were removing computer equipment from the head office without a word to any employees.  Onsite employees had called in local police who in turn took the partners in for questioning.  At this time, however, no charges have been laid as of yet.

Pitbull Poker is (was) a relatively small site and has zero traffic as of this morning.  More information will be forthcoming in the near future.
