Poker Is Not Illegal In US…
… says Greg Raymer to FOX News for most of the States in the USA. According to Raymer, the UIGEA says nothing specifically to make playing online poker in the United States illegal. The laws in the UIGEA are more targetted towards whether or not the banks can process the transactions.
Many Americans have been brainwashed to think that it is illegal when the reality is there has never been a single case where a person was arrested for playing online poker. That would just be ludicrous! There are tons of poker sites accepting Americans right now!
The interview isn’t really set up to discuss the legalities of the game, but rather to talk about Barney Frank and the legislature that he is trying to push through congress. Frank believes that the revenues that are being missed from online gambling could potentially help get the Country out of its tough economical times. By regulating these companies the US Government could reap benefits from TAX DOLLARS, which is A LOT in this multi-billion dollar industry. FINALLY, SOMEONE WITH A BRAIN IN CONGRESS!!!!
