Pokerstars Meltdown
With probably a record setting 230,000 players online today, the Pokerstars servers couldn’t handle the load and melted down leaving players wondering what was going on.
One of the reasons for extremely high traffic today was their World Record Attempt had over 35,000 players at the tables to make history in this record setting tournament. Combine this with their ever popular Sunday tournament series (which includes a $1,500,000 GUARANTEED game that runs every weekend), and you have a recipe for a really busy weekend.
One player on the popular 2+2 forum speculated that Pokerstars was not prepared enough for this weekend, which was quickly replied to by another poster: “Yeah, its not easy finding a bunch of dealers, waitresses, tables and a crew of organizers in such a short notice.”
Fortunately Pokerstars proved why they are considered THE BEST POKER SITE and the troubles were resolved in no time.
