Rush Poker is Pretty Cool!

Just last week Full Tilt Poker added a new game to their site called Rush Poker and it is quickly becoming very popular.  Rush Poker is basically a sped-up version of normal poker that uses a pool of tables to constantly switch players around so that they are always in the action.  Unlike a normal Texas Holdem cash game where you have to constantly wait on other players, with Rush Poker if you don’t like the hand you are dealt you can fold and are immediately moved to another table where the action is again back on you.  This allows you to play way more hands per hour and be a lot more selective with your starting hands.  Also, you are constantly rotating your position on the table so it is just like playing a full rotation, though with Rush Poker you might not change position in a normal order all the time.

Benefits of Rush Poker

- Allows you to play many more hands per hour than a normal poker cash game
- Like multi-tabling without the confusing jumping between windows
- Easier to bluff since it is much harder for opponents to study your play

Disadvantages of Rush Poker

- Less poker skill required to play so if you are a good winning player you probably won’t win as much at these tables
- Very hard to study the play of your opponents
- Post flop play can be a little trickier since most players will only play premium hands or pocket pairs

My Rush Poker Review

I gave Rush Poker a try last week and felt it was a great game for a poker player like me.  The reason for this is I am not always the best at reading other players and like to play a lot of hands.  Since with Rush Poker you are constantly being moved around to other tables you can put focus on your cards rather than trying to guess if the other player is bluffing based on their past decisions.  Also, I get bored very easily playing so it is nice to constantly be in the action.  To me, Rush Poker is basically like multi-tabling for people that have trouble playing multiple tables.  Overall Rush Poker is a high paced game of poker that is great if you are very selective with your starting hands and aren’t the best at reading your opponents online.  I had a lot of fun playing for a few hours and was never bored waiting for other players to act like I typically experience at other games.  If you have a Full Tilt account check it out, or if you don’t have an account yet you can sign up here and get a $600 bonus or use the Full Tilt referral code: FUZION600 when you create your account.  Enjoy!
