Player Goes Crazy at WPT Bucharest
According to a post on 2+2 by Matt Savage (backed up with video proof below), a Romanian sports agent named Giovanni Becali went crazy at the WPT Bucharest poker tournament. Becali is shown in a video below getting very irate with the tournament director at one point throwing his chips high into the ceiling and looking like he was ready to strike him.
Savage posted that he received this in an email from another player, “A player went mental in the tournament room. He threw his chips to the ceiling and tried to punch the tournament director and another player and then stormed out. The reason: one player was hogging the only masseuse girl and he got angry and violent! Welcome to Romania!”
Seems a bit excessive over getting a massage, and clearly shows that he did need that massage badly.
This is not the first time Becali has freaked out on camera. He has also been filmed throwing his microphone and spitting on a sports presenter during a live TV interview.
