Chip Reese Found Dead

Chip ReesePoker lost one of its greatest players yesterday, Chip Reese.  Reports are circulating that he died as a result of pneumonia symptoms that he experienced on Monday.  He contacted his doctor to let him know about these symptoms, but it was too late as Reese died in his sleep later that night.

Daniel Negreanu briefly mentioned the news in a VIP single table tournament on Pokerstars stating that Reese was one of the best players ever, and was always such a friendly guy.

Reese’s most notable wins in poker include 3 WSOP bracelets, including an amazing win in the $50k H.O.R.S.E. event at the 2006 WSOP.  He probably would have won more bracelets if he wasn’t such an active cash game player, where he dominated in many of the high stakes games.

Reese was only 56 years old.  Thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.
