Phil Hellmuth stalks Michael Phelps
It’s been quite the week for Phil Hellmuth. After admitting to suffering a Phil Hellmuth meltdown/panic attack, he’s now blogging about his apparent affinity for Michael Phelps. To hear Phil gush about chasing down the boy wonder will make most grown men somewhat uncomfortable. A few of Phil’s observations in his blog:
“Phelps is a poker fan, which is cool because everyone in the world is a Phelps fan!” (Even me, Phil Hellmuth!)
“Just like when he walks into restaurants these days, a standing ovation from the patrons every time, and why we wouldn’t he get one?” (I mean, he’s a 14 time Gold Medal winner. I’m an 11 time gold bracelet winner! Marry me, Michael!)
“Later we hit “Prive” for some dancing and drinks.” (Sounds like a special moment, Phil!)
“I found Phelps to be humble, respectful, fun to hang out with, and someone that is enjoying the spotlight like a kid in a candy store. For myself, I strive to be like a kid in a candy store with the fame and fortune stuff as well…” (Yeah, right. A kid in the candy store, holding Phelp’s hand.)
These are all Phil’s words, my friends. So it’s pretty clear that he’s having a tough time holding back his affection for the 14 time Olympic Gold Medallist. Perhaps it’s no coincidence that while searching for an image of Phelps on Google for this article, a gay mens website was on the first page of results “Michael Phelps”! Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Brunson was seen escorting Phelps to all the Vegas hot spots and it was even rumored that Brunson had introduced Phelps to his special girl friends, but Phelps did not bite.
