Pokerstars Sponsors Chivas
Pokerstars has made their latest sponsorship announcement, by becoming one of the main sponsors for Mexican soccer team CD Chivas. This news came at a strange time as Mexico is currently under a global magnifying glass with the latest swine flu issues that have been spreading to the other North American countries.
During the press conference several of the players mentioned they had accounts on Pokerstars. Here is a poorly translated version of what one of what Chivas players, forward Omar Arellano, had to say: “I already have my account on PokerStars.net and yes I played a couple of times, especially in the concentrations and the truth is that I enjoy a lot [and] find some similarities in the poker and football since they both must have a lot of concentration, you have to be mentally focused and well of course it is a game to be fun and enjoy it.”
