Sarah Palin is a Poker Fiend?
Among the other random rumors that the Democratic camp have tried to circulate, we’re shocked that poker hasn’t been tossed in the mix yet. They’ve gone so far as to even send someone to Alaska to dig around and determine if she cheated in order to win the title of Miss Alaska. A stretch? One would certainly think so.
So why not acccuse of her of sqaundering tax payers money on poker? Poker is still seen as a game of luck that degenerates everywhere play. In back rooms and illegal casinos, poker has always been the usual suspect when it comes to illicit gambling.
It’s sad to think that a game that unites far more people (think of the home games played at the kitchen table) than destroys them (compared to alcohol or drugs) is so often tossed into the mix of things that are “tearing at our moral fabric”. Perhaps instead of looking for ways to discredit Mrs. Sarah Palin, the Dems can find ways to prop up the online poker industry in the US and win our votes.
And wow… Is she ever hot!
